Newsletters

Well I got quite a bit done the other day on the website. Have all the purse and quilt patterns added. Have all the pictures for categories done. Working today on a newsletter layout. They made to shopping part easy but the extras that they don't specialize in are a little more tricky. Luckily they have a sandbox so I can send and check stuff before it goes out to anyone. Did I say sandbox?? Yes apparently that's web terms for a place that grown ups can play with new ideas and get things lined out before they publish them to everyone and THEIR grandma. Did you catch that Lucy. I should have had a sandbox for my blog post. Spell check doesn't catch everything.

If you would like to be included in the newsletter list before the website goes public send me an email or message on Facebook. Please include your FIRST and LAST name, and your email address.

I will try to get that sent out tomorrow. So far this whole e commerce thing hasn't been too bad. I'm amazed at the amount of information that people have available to help regular people to do exactly the thing they had to learn and do in order to get their information out there. MAN!

So long as I am starting this whole online business. Let me know if there are any specialty items you would like available on the site. I'm thinking about maybe the homemade soap. Hopefully I'll have some time to do embroidery designs; that would be fun. I would like to do fabric, but there are soooo many other big sites out there to compete with. And fabric's not cheap to buy or ship in large quantities. That's a lot of stock to have to hold on to and maybe not sell. I could certainly kit it though. I might just do twice a year a big quilt project and have kits available in that color group. That might work.

Well I'm off to scour the web for information on how best to set up a layout for a newsletter. Don't forget to send in those email addresses to get signed up. Wish me luck and see you soon.

  1. I think adding your soap to the mix would be awesome! And even thought I don't quilt, sounds like doing kits would be a good way to go.
