Getting back on track
Well, back to work. Last week was the Paducah Quilt Show and that was a blast! There was quite a lot of confusion and moving due to the severe flooding and vendors had to be moved, quilts taken elsewhere, and bus routes figured out, but we survived. As always there was a WIDE array of people and personalities which is interesting. I got a lot of practice on the quilting machine while demonstrating it to people. I also picked up some new pigment and dyes for fabrics. I've got a great idea for them and will be showing that soon on Facebook so keep your eyes peeled.
Finished sewing on the Jelly Roll quilt and have to sit and write some instructions before too long. Yesterday I started on a pattern re-make. I'm taking the ever popular pocket purse and making it bigger! Can't wait for you to see the fabric. Very cute. Have to get covers done so that I can get them on the website. Almost done with the instructions for the Charm and Layer Cake pattern. I had to order more fabric! I can't believe it! Well I can, you know how it goes you start with one idea and change it, then you love it, then you wish it were bigger, and then you realize you need more fabric. Oh well. Found a really good deal on some green Moda in the process so it's o.k.
Well we officially have made progress on the add on room so that the Quilting machine will fit in the house. Yesterday we got sheetrock up on the ceiling, and insulation. It's starting to look like a room! Hooray!! Today I get to start mudding, and get the ceiling textured while the guys hang the walls. Can't wait to get some pictures for everyone.
